case with Hampton Terrace Bed and Breakfast
of Lenox, Massachusetts, a genuine part of
Berkshires history. Indeed, the Berkshires
became a popular getaway of the Newport
crowd in the early 19th century, and the
Hampton Terrace Bed and Breakfast is one of
the historic homes built as a result.

breakfast covers a wide estate. Purchased by
the elite Struthers family in 1896, the
estate was subsequently sold to newspaper
baron Robert E. (Ed) Bonner, and eventually
to the Giese family in 1937, who turned it
into a guest house marked by a sign post
still standing today. Its greatest
claim to fame, however, may be the parties
called French Sundays, held by Mrs.
Struthers during the wondrous Gilded Age. We
have restored the estate, and while times
have changed, our guests still enjoy good
times to rival those French Sundays of yore.
