So, you’ve decided to come to the Berkshires. You have your bags packed, your reservations are made, and you’ve gotten yourself ready for some fun.
But what are you going to do when you get here? Sure, there are numerous events and activities here – music, theatre, arts, outdoor activities, delicious food, and so much more. We certainly recommend you do these things. And, for most people, this will be more than enough.
However, you are not most people. You want more. You want to be “in the know.”
When you go on vacation, you want to go beyond “touristy.” You want to be where the locals are; those secret places that really describe the Berkshires. You want to be an insider.
You’ve come to the right place.
I’ll be honest; this page is not for everybody. Some people are perfectly content following the marked path. But if you are looking to truly experience the Berkshires – and revel in the thought of taking a wee bit of a chance – then you are an Insider.
What you’ll find here will range from the traditional to the outrageous. For example, the IS183 Art School of the Berkshires puts on a party in a traditional location – with a theme that is far from traditional. Previous themes included “Anime Hothouse,” “Hair Ball,” and “Radioactive Bodega.” This year’s party is the “Buckaroo Bollywood Ball.” Let your mind ponder this!
Being an Insider, however, also indulges your gastronomic side. We’ll let you know about wine tastings and special menus that aren’t released to the public. Sometimes, our chefs are feeling a little creative, but don’t want the world to know about their mad creations. As an Insider, you may find yourself experiencing a culinary epiphany.
We’d tell you more, but we’ve said too much already! Needless to say, there is a goldmine of events going on in the Berkshires – let us be your guide.
