The Comical Mystery Tour ensemble returns by popular demand to Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum after a sold out performance last November 14th. This time they will perform “The Killer Script”, a murder mystery dinner theater program on Saturday, April 23 at 6:00 pm.
The stage is set for a deadly rehearsal of the soap opera, “The Numb and the Restless.” The producer, RE Mote has ticked off someone enough that they have cancelled him, permanently. Is it the Director and ill treated brother-in-law, Frank Lee; the abused Stage Manager, Shanel Surfer; the over acting new actor, Foster Granite or the bubbly yet obsessive actress, Sunny Delight? Come along and help figure out who dunnit.
Dinner at the mansion includes chicken Marsala with linguini and Italian vegetables, salad, cake, coffee and tea with beer and wine available for purchase. Everyone is in for a rollicking good time while they discover the killer in this who-done-it over dinner.
In production since 1995, The Comical Mystery Tour has had over 50,000 audience members viewing and/or participating in their programs.
An Official Project of Save America’s Treasures program sponsored by The White House, Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum, built in 1893, offers tours of the historic mansion, as well as Tea & Talks, such exhibitions as the Bellefontaine Collection, concerts, theater, and other programs. This elegant Jacobean-Revival Berkshire “cottage”, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is open to the public year round and is available for private rental. Sarah Morgan was the sister of financier J. P. Morgan. Ventfort Hall has undergone substantial restoration, which continues.
Hampton Terrace was built across the street from Ventfort Hall in the same era – to participate in Lenox’s Gilded Age social season. A perfect combination – stay two nights in a Gilded Age mansion (which has been an inn since 1937) and enjoy a Murder Mystery Dinner at Ventfort Hall across the street with Hampton Terrace picking up the bill.
